The logo of the Institut National de Médecine Chinoise (Canada) Inc

Lin Housheng

The Chinese character at the center of the logo is the character Shen – benevolence. The left side of the character represents a man, in a stylized design, and the right part of the character represents the sky above and the earth below.

A man who is in harmony with the sky and the earth develops benevolence for himself as well as towards others and it is these two qualities that make him a good therapist.

The three sides of the triangle relate to the three aspects of Qigong, taught at the Institute.

Shaolin Qigong
The Institute teaches the Shaolin exercises practiced and transmitted by professor Lin Housheng and which enabled him to develop the great energy that made him famous throughout the whole of China, for his treatments as well as for the anesthesia he performed during numerous operations. The Shaolin exercises taught at the Institute aim to develop the therapeutic energy to enable self-regulation within on one's own practice or for the development of Wai Qi in a therapeutic mindset. The Institute does not teach the Shaolin exercises for martial arts or aimed at developing physical strength.

Taiji Qigong Shibashi
The Institut National de Médecine Chinoise is the official representative of professor Lin Housheng and teaches the sets 1, 2, 3, the therapeutic applications, as well as the Jing Hua Ban – Elite set, which condenses the most efficient movements of Taiji Qigong Shibashi.

Scientific Qiqong
The Institute continues the scientific path of professor Lin Housheng who demonstrated the tangible existence of Wai Qi, via his research with the Shanghai Atomic Institute in the 1980's. We are interested in all studies that bring a scientific dimension to Qigong.

The Institute wishes to train healthy therapists, who are in harmony, grounded and connected to the infinite, using their benevolence to treat people in a scientific approach, with the tools of Shaolin Qigong and Taiji Qigong Shibashi.
